Three-level ANPC rectifier loss calculation and balance control method

Abstract Traditional three-level neutral-point clamped converter has the problem of uneven loss distribution, which restricts increase capacity. Three-level active (3L-ANPC) can reduce imbalance power device distribution. At present, three traditional SPWM modulation strategies are used in single-phase ANPC modulation. Considering it is generally required to input current and voltage sampling values real-time calculate temperature switching online for control or collect feedback control, more complicated realize. This paper proposes a scheme based on two carrier cycles, combined with SPWM1 2, analyze conditions characteristics each this scheme. The simulation rectifier was built, experiment carried out Yuankuan HIL semi-physical platform. results show that simple, easy implement, effectively distribution imbalance.
